Brain Workshop was inspired by the brain training exercise named “Dual N-Back”. It is an open-source application that you can use to improve your long-term memory, as well as intelligence.
Although Brain Workshop comes with many game options, its graphical user-interface still needs to be worked on a lot. It was poorly designed and some users might find it difficult to use, as the program window cannot be resized. Also, it’s quite hard to distinguish between buttons and pieces of text displayed in the interface as both have the same color and size. Moreover, it took me a while to understand how the program works, and the lack of a Help manual didn't make it any easier for me.
Brain Workshop will help you train your brain by displaying sequences of letters and positions that you need to identify and remember. Your progress will be displayed in a graph, but you shoulduse the program for at least two days in order to generate it.
I consider this tool to be an efficient solution for improving your long-term memory. It still needs some improvements, but it can be of great help.
